Ones may had suffered alone for years , ones still enjoy happy life with family. Prove that ones have no intention to mark up for you. Its so easy for ones to forget, wheareas ones may undergo lifetimes dreadful images .


Our relatives from Hainan came to Singapore on Monday. Of course, to extend our hospitality to welcome them we treat them a feast. After gotten opinion from the family members, we chosed to dine at one of the well known Hokkien restaurant, we had heard of this eatery from elderly, read positive reviews on food portal.

It is an air-conditional restaurant with simple decor, very typical oldest restaurant been around for 40 years. Quite retro though.


Service staffs are polite and attentive, tea refilled with tea instead of plain water which almost all local restaurant do. We ordered more than 8 dishes , include their signature dishes Black Hokkien Mee, Kong Ba Bao, Crispy Chicken etc. Dessert was served complimentary. Total damage at $279 for 12 persons. I find it is damn good value on the quality and portion of the food served. No service charge for their excellent services. Overall, the food met our expetation, we will definitely come back for the hokkien mee, braise pork again. Thus , I do not hesitate to recommend anyone who has craving for authentic hokkien food.

Crispy and the oysters are fat and juicy.








Braised Duck with Sea Cucumber in Claypot
Took several hours to braise this dish, the duck meat literally melt in your mouth. Excellent.

Not recommendable, taste funny , has a stronng aroma of vinegar.

If ones are not repent for all the wrong-doing, regardless how many no of chances given to ones, ones still don't appreciate it. You do not has omnipotent power to change ones. Your wound will only decay further.



Would like to introduce this seafood bolognese spagetties to all of you. Cheap and good ! Even Ch 8 one of the food program had feature this stall. It located at Sembawang Food Centre (hope I am right !) along Upper Thomson Road. This plate of italian spagetties priced at only $6 ... genuinely $6, with generous portion of noodles, few huge shrimps, plenty of clams, squid, mussels. Most importantly, it taste much better than some of the posh italian restaurants here. Its a steal !

if ones to gain loves through umpteen begging, pleading……. why keep deceiving yourself over a callous and unfeeling one. Suffering in agony alone, efforts came to nought , even ones aware the torment, misery and pain you had gone through , ultimately result remains – you are still insignificant ! Brace yourself up ! Make your life as fullest as possible.

Family of Hearts
is an event meant to extend gratitude to all the invaluable efforts of all FFTH volunteers over the years. National Museum was opened free to us to visit the newly revamped museum. Indeed, complimentary entry helped me saved $60, too costly to pay $10 per person for a visit to the museum. The exhibits are confusing, layout not well planned. As for artfacts, nothing much was displayed. Although lunch was provided at the lobby area but buffet spread was very miserable . Hence, I had my lunch at the well known Park Lane Wanton mee.

Fried wanton is the main soul of the stall made it famous.





In the evening, we patronized one of family favorite eateries - Pu Tian Restaurant that serves authentic Hing Hwa cuisine. The food is good and cheap. It is always full house, as such I highly recommend to make reservation before going down. If not, you may have to wait for quite a while. There are more than 2 Pu Tien restaurants along Kitchener road, identify the original one which located at the center of the road.

Today is a day full of mix feeling between happness and sadness. I was happy that I had an enjoyable lunch with a group of wonderful friends at Peach Garden, Thomson Plaza. Peach Garden is a well-known local restaurant which has earned numerous of dining accolades from renown local and oversea magazines. It began with 2 ladies who formerly from Orchard Hotel , Hua Ting Restaurant love and passion in providing good and quality food with excellent personal ad friendly services.

I have not met Vicky for more than 6 years, she didn’t change much. She brought her 6 years old daughter along, who was the main reason for resignation from Mediacorp.

As usual, we ordered different types of Dim Sum ; Prawn dumpling, Carrot Cake, deep fried carrot cake, Siew Mai, Xiao Long Bao, BBQ pork bun etc. Standard remain there, tasty, good and fresh. The dishes given me the most deep impression are Prosperity Roll and Fried Vermicelli with mee hoon.


A surprise dish served during Chinese New year season, comes with an auspicious name - Fortune Roll. Initiately thought they were banana fritters, whats hidden inside are black moss, scallop, prawn ... deep fried version of Oysters with black moss warpped with flour. Verdict for the dish: Excellent









A shocking news dampen my day in the late afternoon, one of the HK celebrities had departed in the morning . She had lost the battle against cancer even though she had fought hard to overcome it.. Life is beyond your control when come to death.

At last, Loh family Yu Sheng emerged on my blog. Loh family Yusheng is a vegetarin Yu Sheng created from my entire family. Each members of the family contributed the success of the Yu Sheng. It's simply very easy to distinguish our family Yu Sheng with others, from the taste; light, fresh ,fruity and juicy. How to make it ? Sorry leh... can't disclose .. it is our loh family secret recipe..shared among us.

Chinese New Year 2008


Gong Xi Fa Cai ! We changed our New Year eve reunion dinner venue this year, not the same restaurant which we patronise regularly - Zi Yean restaurant but Keng Kee Restaurant located at Alexandra Village . Mr Seetoh had gave good review on their food before. My elder sister family and Connie joined us for the dinner too. Sing Yi was so excited over able to join us for the reunion dinner, she even bought T-shirt to spruce herself up in order to satisfy mum regulation.Relatively surprised that the food served was pipping hot, in large portion, fresh despict the restaurant was crowded with customer. Waiting time for food was short too.

Fortune Yusheng was served with auspicious phrases . Perhap Yusheng wasnt their signature dish, find the yusheng palatable but I prefer our homemade Fortune Yusheng with additional ingriedent .. polmelo , dried persimmons, winter melon etc. Our Yushengs are normally more frutties, cruncy, fragrance ,refreshing and tastier. Maybe because we used vegetarian slice raw fish instead of the fresh raw fish.








Roasted Chicken

Taste fantistic, skin was crispy, once bit u could hear the "kaka" sound. Although it was a roast chicken, meat was succelent. Not dry at all. Definitely able to meet 5 star hotel standard.








Deep Fried "Soon Hock" with light soy sauce

The fish weight more than 1.2 kg, it was so fresh that we finished the entire fish, the head was not spared too.










Pork Ribs With Cream Sauce
Below our expectation, the ribs tasted as its were not marinated at all. It is a dish purely deep fried ribs coated with cream sauce. Tasteless !
