Shin Kushiya

My first visit to Shin Kushiya @ Vivo City, it was rather pack , perhaps due to mother day. They provide 2 different set of menus - savory menu & dessert and drinks menu.
All the food featured on the menus looked appetising , but we only have one stomach with restriction of intake, if not, I would have ordered all.
'Buta Don - Pork with rice bowl , the pork seasoned with special sweet sauce, & the pork taste wonder. The pork tasted especially extra-ordinary . is extremely tender and soft .
Tako Fry - Crispy with chuck of tako
BlackPepper Maguro Sarada - Seasoning is refreshing with a hint of sourness that perks your appetite, the maguro was perfectly grilled.

Raku @ HV

We wanted to have our sushi at Sushi Teh intially, but we were too late for the last order. Our craving for Sushi did not stop, our eyeball shifted to a Japanese behind Sushi Teh - Raku. I have heard several nagative reviews on the outlet, but then, I have never experienced it. So ! Lets give a try.

We ordered Spider Maki, California Maki, Japanese Clam, Eel maki. Althought the price is at the high side, the presentation, quality and quanity of the food does not match the price. In short .. overpriced. I didnt feel surprised at all, overall standard is the same as Sushi Teh which charge much lesser. A cup of Ocha costs $4 . For the price charged, I would rather spend at Keyaki @ Pan Pacific that guarantee excellent Sushi.

Daidomon @ United Square

Again ! Lured by Channel 8 food programme "Buffet Buffet" , in fact I had dined at keypoints outlet few years back. This is the right choice for quality beef, you could find different parts of beef including innards. The beef served at the restaurant fed by corns only... the marbling and fat on the beef assured the quality of the beef. At the price of $43 ++ for unlimited serving of good quality beef, meats, veggie ..... it definitely worth to make your tummy expand... ha ha.. Its X'mas time for indulgence ..

A must for me ... vegetable salad after so much meaty meat.

Look at the texture of the beef.... marbling and fat ..

The Pasta Shop by Sakae

Tiong Bahru Plaza had undergone a major revamp at Basement 01 and level 01, there are more Food and beverages outlets setting up in the Plaza, you will be spoilt by choices of outlet. Of all the outlets , we chosed The Pastry Shop by Sakae for our lunch, it deemed to be a totally disappointed food experience that spoilt my entire day . I love pasta & pizza though, but the food quality couldnt made it for our palate . If you are searching for the most horrible taste pasta. Bingo ! This is right place Be prepare to spend more and don't be deceive by the visuals shown in the menu. The portion given is only sufficient for kid, as a small eater like me couldn't fill my stomach at all. Basing on the price they charge, it will be more worthwhile to eat at Dao Paolo which will give generous portion of pasta and ingriedients and 100% certain of the quality and taste.

Assorted Mushroom Pizza @$10.90
6 small and thin slices with some mushrooms. The best dish we tasted in the restaurant.

Green Tea Red Bean Shake @$6.90
The visual shown on the menu apparently looked much bigger cup and more red beans though, what was served was discounted more than 50%.

Basil Chicken & Asparagus pasta @$14.90
Taste horrible! Yacky ! Pasta was uncooked. Couldnt find the fragrance of basil, the combination was terrible. Wondering , have they taste it before ? Fortunately, the porton served was small.

Flower Clam soup pasta @$14.90
Original taste of spaghetti . The noodle was bland, tastless and soup equally tasteless with msg. Portion was good for a small kid with less than 10 small clams. Need to double or triple the portion for adult .

MOF

I simply love MOF food that I patronised the outlet again.

Stone Rice, u are able to smell the fragrance of rice and unagi .

Shabu Shabu
sliced fresh and tender beer.

One of the limited hot dessert, Rice cake with miso. Deem fit to blend together. Tasted Heavely. Surprise founding that miso went perfect with the miso. The Rice cake melted in your mouth buy yet chewy.

My favorite ; Avacodo Salad. A simple dish that had created the wonderful taste through the salad sauce.

Tetsu Restarant

TETSU is the first in Singapore to offer Tempura and Tonkatsu menu under one roof and to present Tempura & Tonkatsu in Kushi style (on skewer).I had been tantalised by the food visual of this restaurant feature in several magazine, on the pretext of giving my sister birthday treat, I had a taste of the food. From the design of the entire resturant revealed to you that it is an upmarket Japanese Restaurant. Tonight, it was truely a great and statisfied gastronomic experience, it satisfied my palate and vision. All dishes were nicely presented with garnishes. My damage was $106 for 2 persons.

SALAD

Although, they are raw vegetables but the sauces created the magic taste.

Appetiser

SAKE
Not a sake connoisseur, not good in appreciating sake but this sake made me slurped.

ONSENTAMAGO TO TOFU SALAD
Chef recommendation ! It's a compliementary dish for Citibank credit card holders.

Green leaves mixed with cold tofu , the cold tofu is firm and provide a nice texture that comes with natural seasoning - half boiled egg. It certainly taste the chef skills to control the temperature of the water and egg.

Light and refresing dish.

Grilled catch of the day.
Fresh and sweet.

INANIWA HOT UDON
Couldn't find words to describle it. The udon is unique that gave an aroma of unique nice fragrance. For the palate , it is chewy yet smooth literally you could suck it into your mouth .

KANI-SUKI
Crab Sukiyaki . Hokkaido crab meat tasted superb sweet.

KUSHI Menu
• Beef Fillet • Pork Fillet • Shrimp • Scallop • Salmon • Vegetables (Zucchini & Green Pepper)
Usually, the meat will be very dried after deep frying in hot oil. It's miracle that the chef managed to make its crispy, cruncy and yet meat remain juicy.

STEAM FISH CAKE
I find it should be grill fish cake, absolutely taste different with our local fish cake. Not fishy but chewy. Perfect combination with Sake .

COCUNUT JELLY WITH FRESH MILK
A fantastic dessert to complete our meal.
