Bangkok 21 - 24 Jun
21 Jun 08 / Day 01

Meal served on board TG414 from Singapore - Bangkok
Main course was Fish fillet with tomato sauce .

We put up at Majestic Grande Hotel ,a 4 star hotel situated right opposite JW Marriot Hotel. The hotel is convienent to shopping zone , just 1 BTS station away is Central Shopping Centre or Emporium Shopping Centre.

The hotel impressed me the most upon our arrival was the welcome drink. I had visited severals different rated hotel, which ususally serve only juices as welcome drink. This is the only hotel that I came across provide guest a drink lists to choice their prefer drink, list includes of cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers, sakes....

The Bluberry cheese cake looked too tempting that made us drooled for it... quite a disappoinment though. Lack of the cheesey ...

Our Dinner at Chinatown where you could find eateries serve Shark Fin Soup and Bird Nest. Shark Fin soup costs from 300Bht (SGD$14) to 500 Bht (SGD$18) a claypot. Bird Nest at 100Bht (SGD$4) to 300 Bht (SGD$12) . If you dare ! Sit along the street , do the Thai ways .

22 Jun 08 / Day 02

There were varities of choice , mix of western, Japanese and local Thai breakfast. Unlike Arnoma Swissotel, the breakfast here was much more relax & peace, guests staying here were mostly tourist from Japan, Europe, Hong Kong. Taking food from the spread was very much in order and no hurry at all.
My first breakfast experience at the hotel...
We are typical shopaholic, we skipped our lunch to battle inside ChatuChak - biggest weekend market in Bangkok.
The most enjoyable shopping spree here is practicing bargain power....
Happen to see crowd around this Cocunut Ice- Cream Stall, scoop of coconut ice cream served inside coconut husk with coconut flesh . Innovative idea . A perfect Ice - cream to reduce heat during hot weather.

Breeze Restaurant is a fusion restaurant under the State Tower. The food here wass over-charged, you pay for the ambience, atmostphere and unblock panoramic night view.

Unblocked night city & Chao Phaya river view from Sky Bar

23 Jun / Day 03

We happened to find this ShabuShi located at MBK level 2, at THB 258 (SGD$11) per person includes free flow of soft drink, ice-cream, fruits, un-limited steamboat ingredents from the conveyer belts , Sushi and tempura ....
Value for $ .

Ban Khun Mae Restaurant situated at the heart of Siam Square. Restaurant set up by a lady owner, provides traditional Thai Cuisine. The price may be consider upmarket for local, but it is pretty reasonable for us.

I like the philosophy of looking on the sunny side, indeed! Too much negative thinking out there.

Bravo!
