Fourty Hands

Recently, more hip & trending shops sprucing up at this pre war housing estate area - Tiong Bahru, thus, injected vibes and vibrant to this once old and boring estate .

There is an artisan cafe well known for the brew, nestled at the area. Opened by Aussie , serves limited breakfast menu . My first time to the cafe surprised me by the overly-crowded yuppies sitting inside the cafe. As usual, I had my Latte , which gave strong aroma of coffee. Egg benedict served on traditional metal plate was a surprise too, the taste met my expectation.

I would highly recommend Salmon Hash and Gula Melaka Swiss Roll. Salmon hash was tasty and flavourful, salmon without fishy smelt and not over cooked. Gula Melaka Swiss Roll is rather unusual that I could only find it here, the sponge is soft, not too sweet , and rolled with shredded coconut.

If you are this area, pop into this cafe .
