This is a place for an authentic Hokkien food, their customers are typically all regular who have ate their food for more than decades. You could easy spot groups of Ah Gong Ah ma at the restaurant. My zoo-mates and myself had been talking about the restaurant since Ch 8 Dialect delight showcased their food 2 months. Hooray ! We finally had a taste of these savoury dishes in the afternoon. The total bill for pork knuckle, deep fried prawn fritters, Vegetable with mushroom and Hokkien Noodle came out to be $50 for 5 person . Damn cheap cheap ! Where is the restaurant ? Pardon me for not able to share the exact address, me too, don't know the exact address .....but I know the way ... is along Jalan Besar main road near New World Centre.

Pork Knuckle
One of the restaurant signature dish, old and tradional or rather in short is a very nostagic dish. The outer layer was chewy and for the inner made from minced meat.

Prawn fitter
When u bit, u could heat the crispyness of the fritter. Love it.

Hokkien Noodle
Cost only $6 for 5 persons, no discount on the taste and ingredients at all. If I made a comparsio between this Hokkien Mee with Telok Ayer Bee Tin, I will vote this
.

Abalone mushroom with Spinach
Well prepared dish.

My another food stop at Minori Restaurant located at UE Square. The restaurant set up by former owners of Hanabi , a Japanese restaurant with a la carte buffet concept. Minori used the same concept, an edge to dine in Minori is they offer grilled skewered food.

There were mixed reviews from netezens, food lovers. My overall experience was passable, however if you are looking for wide varieties of food with reasonable serving. There are more than 50 items to choose from, and unlimited orders of sashimi, stew food, tempura ….

Ocean curry fish head is not a non known stall in Singapre. Typically , almost all Singaporean had eaten their curry fish head. We had craving for curry fish head , the though led us to Toa Payoh Ocean. The fish head served in bubbling hot claypot with eggplants, lady fingers and spicy with aroma of assam fragrance. The demerit point for this fishhead ; pretty expensive considering it’s located in an old kopitiam . We paid $28 for 2 person.

Last 2 weeks had been busy juggling between work, family ……. Handling my lovely Red dot account , shuttling between home to hospital to visit my aunt who is critically ill, grieved over my aunt departure . I am resuming blogging again. I have never tried Icekimo ice cream despite I had walked pass the shop umpteen times, you are able to find some localized favours ; Bandung, Black glutinous rice, champedeuk , the terik. If you would like to try some unconventional ice cream… consider Icekimo. Icekimo located at Imperial Plaza, along Upper Thomson Road.

Today is a day helmed by carnations , is Mother Day ! I would like to share the cake I had ordered from Creative Culinaries , Lychee Martini cake. This isn't their signature cake though, it didn't fail us. The cake was spongy , not too sweet and aroma of Lychee fragrance. Creative Culinaries began as a school providing baking course few years back, they had received many positives feedbacks and requests that decided to set up a cafe selling pastry.

My entire day spent at Pan Pacific Hotel for our Sales Conference and Gala Dinner. Nothing excited to talk about for the conference. The Gala dinner was an disappointment, I referred the food , it was a 4 course dinner. Other than the starter was platable, the soup taste salty, sweet and sour, similar as cooked tomato sauce, main course was dory fish served with asparagus, fish coated with spices, yet the meat taste bland, dessert ........ horrible .

If anyone of you considering Pan Pacific for any function...... think twice or sample their food before confirmation

At last, we decided to dine at Dempsy Road. We went straight to Chang Korea BBQ Restaurant as we parked a front of the restaurant. We were surprised that the restaurant was fully seated despite it was still early, 6.30 pm. Fortunately, there was a alfresco table vacant. The restaurant made me felt that it is an authentic korean restaurant since the boss is a korean, and you easy could find several koreans attending to customer. We ordered our food basing on the visuals presented on the menu, we had Broiled Beef in Pumkin and Cold Noodle. Other than the food we ordered, they came with wide varieties of Kimchi , more than 6 different types of Kimchi, all were complimentary and refillable.

Boiled Beef In Pumkin
Marinated beef boiled in whole pumkin, the pumkin absorbed the essence made it tasty .

Cold Noodle
Need to be a fan of Cold Noodle and Vinegar if not you will resent a savoury dish with Ice.
An idea dish during hot weather, very refreshing and cooling.

While I was waiting for Adeline for our dinner, I had sudden craving for mango dessert, so I went to PS Ice Monster, a dessert shop operated by a Singaporean who married with Taiwanese . Ice Monster was featured in Ch 8 Snack Attack few month agos, it was highly recommended by the host best Mango Ice in Singapore. But still, It failed to win my heart as I still missed the orginal Taiwan Ice Mango I had eaten in Taipei. Ice dissolved in my mouth, mangoes were sweet, fragrance with hint of milk.

We had our lunch at Wah ! Noogee House which is a sister restaurant of Wah Lok. I had heard several positive reviews pertaining to their service, food & price. Indeed, the price reflected on the menu surprised me , tags at very a pocket friendly price. Their service were excellent, couldn't find any excuse to fault them at all, they were very attentive, thoughful ... kept changing our plates... our tea pot was always re-filled with hot water. The food tasted excellent , the whole dining experience enhanced my felt on the che fput in eztra attention and thought to meet and maintain standard. Not easy though. .

Roast Pork ... very crispy... balance of fat and meat.

Hor Fun.... very big portion .. the hor fun was smooth and tasty.

Fried fish skin .... like crackers
Signature dish : You Tiao with 6 different sauces... the sauces match perfectly . Novel way of eating You Tiao.
