HCA CNY Celebration

Ha ha ha ! I celebrated Chinese New Year with a group of HCA’s patients this afternoon.

It was held at Mediacorp TVT B4 theatre. I was supposed to arrive at 12 noon to decorate the venue, as I was assigned to do the decoration. Oh gosh ! Didn’t expect Orange Grove traffic congested , trapped in jam for more than 15 mins, so worried that I couldn't made it on time. Fortunately, Hup Yee and Catherine were around to assist me. Amazingly, we completed the entire décor within 30 mins. Left photo shows our decoration.

We danced line dancing (in fact this was my first experience of line dancing) , sang evergreen songs with the patients and the more exciting game “Bingo”. I ran after Yew Ming and snatched Hong Bao from her. Of course the hong bao meant for the patient, I didn’t want the Cantonese pao pao to be disappointed.

Oh ya ! I had my first Loi Hei of the new year too. I am the big fan of CNY Yu Sheng. The colorful red, white, green radishes mixed with plum sauce made me drooled…. We tossed the vegetables high up in the air for good fortune and messed up the table for good luck, most important I want it to bring all the patients good health, fight against the diseases. It was a wonderful fight that made everybody smiled. Thank you Fairmount and Meritus Mandarin sponsored the Yu Sheng.

Although, I have not fully recovered but the pain has alleviated by all the cheerful faces , “thank you” from the patients. I feel fulfilling and happy that I am able to do a bit for them… I hope I will see them again as a healthy person.. . God bless u’ll.

Uncle Zhang Wei is the emcee .... he sponsors $100 as prizes for the patient.

Wow ! So many great food sponsor by kind souls/companies...

Good luck Yu sheng from Fairmount Hotel.

It's Loi Hei time.... toss for luck ... toss for health ... toss for fortune... toss for friendship....

Gong Xi Fa Cai ! Dun disturb us leh ! Busy with our Yu sheng !

Relationship is something which cant merely used any words to describe. No right or wrong, no scale to measure, no weighing machine to weight. People who have undergone an unrequited love will truly empathize ones have gained such disastrous experience. Its painful, hurting, lost, torment ….. wounded one’s heart deeply which is incurable. The wound may heal but the scar remains infinitely. Desolate ones remain dwelling in agony.

Sister broke astonishing and heart-breaking news this afternoon, a kid at her childcare centre had departed the world, left for god’s hands. He was brutally abused by his mum’s boyfriend that caused him multiple internal organs failure. He was merely 5 years old. Life is full of contradictions yet vulnerable. There are people who yearn to have children but dream never come true, yet a life vanished in this world within split second by those who didn’t cherish him. I wish the world embraces with loves.… cherish, protect, dote people around us. It is an affinity to be meet each other. Cherish the relationship !

I had fractured by left hand which restricted my mobility. After a week of mc resting at home , finally able to type ... On 4 Jan, airtime held a Masquerade party inside a far and remote place - Kranji Turf Club. We were expected to put on masks during the party...... of course i got a mask for myself too, i enhanced the mask with sparking crystals, glitter ... Overall I find the event rather enjoy however the food served by the turf club couldn't made it...lack of varities, cheap stuff, poor presentation.

Who is behind the mask... guess ??

Saturday travelled to Batam with Irene & Angeline on the pretext of rendering support to Phyllis . She bought us to this local famous restaurant , entire resturant builded from woods standing in the lush of greenary. It is a very typical indonesia restaurant. It doesn't has any chair sitting at all, we had to sit on the floor similar with Japanese Tatami styles. The food pretty tasty but serve very small portion, to make ourselves full need to order 2 plates for each dish. We had grilled and chilli Chicken, soup, satay, fried vegetables.... Overall I will rate 7 out of 10 . 3 points deducted for the dried and tough Satay . Strongly not recommendable !

Authentic fresh avocado juice in Batam ! Make me slurp !

An surprised spicy and sour soup which has a very special ingredient: Jackfruit's flower .
Ayam very tender and Gado Gado sauce is a perfert match with beansprouts and long bean

Deep fried fresh water fish.. damn crispy . can even eat the bones.

Our table ..... Don't get used to sit on the floor to eat. Our legs numbed after a while... keep stretching our legs.

31st Dec marked my last day of the year. It was a meaningful and day full of achievement. Myself together with Ah Bao, Hup Yee, Jeanette and her fans spend the entire afternoon with the residents at Moral Home for the Disabled. The saddess story that I heard on the day was knowing that some of the residents were not herediary to be intellectual disabled, in fact they were abused by their parents till saviours saved them from clutches.

We played music box games , sang X'mas songs, interacted with them, took group photos and many more . The atmostphere was filled with laughers, joys, cheers & jeers, simling face...... They really enjoyed themselves like children so pure and innocent.

Music box goes goes goes around...... who's the lucky ones .

Xin Yi helping Jeanette distributing cakes . YUMMY !

:) Thank you volunteers ! You are wonderful !Muccck !
